Usage terms

Terms of Service

These terms cover use of DIM as a desktop application for class management, recording workflows, and optional integrations with external services.

Effective date: July 1, 2026

Use of the Application

DIM is provided to help teachers manage their own class operations. Users are responsible for the accuracy of class data they enter, the recordings and materials they store, and any content they choose to upload or share through connected services.

Third-Party Services

DIM can connect to services such as Google, YouTube, Google Classroom, and Zoom. Those services are operated by their respective providers and are governed by their own terms and policies.

Users must only connect accounts and upload content they are authorized to use. DIM cannot control provider availability, account restrictions, quota limits, verification requirements, or provider policy changes.

User Content

Users retain responsibility for their local recordings, materials, student data, titles, descriptions, and uploaded videos. Users should not upload confidential, private, or student-identifying content unless they have the required rights and permissions.

Privacy

DIM's privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. The application is designed around a local workspace and optional user-initiated provider connections.

No Warranty

DIM is provided as-is, without warranties of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. Users should keep independent backups of important recordings, class materials, and workspace data.
